Preneta Physical Therapy's primary focus is one on one patient care in a compassionate, energetic environment.
Each staff member is experienced and trained so that the highest possible level of patient care can be achieved and maintained from the point of initial contact through patient discharge and follow-up.
Bonnie Longley, ATC/L, CSCS, EMT, Certified Athletic Trainer
Bonnie is a certified Athletic Trainer and the designer and originator of the clinic's ever popular, One on One Full Body Stretching Program. As the director of Preneta Physical Therapy's Athletic Training Program, Bonnie personally managed and covered the Brien McMahon High School Athletic Training contract many years. Bonnie maintains direct contact with Physicians and works quickly and closely with the athlete and their parents to coordinate Physician care following an injury.
Bonnie has her CSCS, and in addition to her stretching program and Athletic Training work, Bonnie focuses on her in-clinic patient strength and conditioning, and training and wellness work. She likes to say, "The best gift for me is to see my clients happy, making improvements, and getting well."
Bonnie lives in East Haven, CT and likes to stay active with triathlons, walking her dog, and hanging with friends and family.
Gina Mentone, BS, ATC, Certified Athletic Trainer
Gina is the athletic trainer for Fairfield College Preparatory School. A 2008 Sacred Heart graduate, Gina received her degree in Athletic Training and Exercise Science and is certified and licensed with the state of Connecticut.
While attending Sacred Heart, Gina was the Athletic Trainer for Men's Football, Men's Lacrosse and Women's Softball. She has also worked at Wilton High School assisting the Athletic Trainer with boy's and girl's fall sports.
Gina is an adjunct professor in the Athletic Training Department at Sacred Heart University. An athlete herself, Gina played softball and basketball for her North Branford High School Thunderbirds.As an Athletic Trainer, Gina is highly trained in the prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions. Gina is knowledgeable when it comes to sports specific return to play training following an athletic injury and, as an athletic trainer, she helps bridge the gap between injury recovery and full return to play. Gina can help athletes focus on specific movements and activities that will aid in a safe and successful return to high level activities.
Jason Rancourt, BS, Exercise Physiologist
Jason graduated from Sacred Heart University with a BS in Exercise Physiology and has expertise in muscle strength and conditioning. Prior to college, Jason was a high school athlete, and played Varsity Football - offensive tackle - all four years for Waltham High School in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Jason is the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Fairfield College Preparatory School and works with Fairfield Prep, designing and implementing strength training and conditioning programs for students, athletes, and teams. Jason works with Fairfield Prep students and athletes in the Fairfield Prep weight room on a daily basis during the school year. In addition to his work with students, Jason also offers one on one strength training and conditioning programs at Preneta Physical Therapy.
In his role as Exercise Physiologist at Preneta Physical Therapy, Jason is responsible for working with the physical therapists and patients on patient in-clinic exercise. Working in tandem with the physical therapists, Jason designs and instructs specific stretching and strengthening exercises targeting a patient's specific weakened or injured area.
In addition to maintaining the clinic's exercise area, he assists in keeping the clinic orderly and properly equipped for patient care. He works closely with the physical therapists and patients to coordinate equipment settings and proper exercise aides.
Jason lives in Shelton, CT and enjoys playing sports, playing the guitar and spending time with friends and family.
Matthew Laudicina, Physical Therapy Aide Administrator
Matthew joined the Preneta Physical Therapy team in 2008. Working closely with the physical therapists, Matt assists with patient flow through the clinic. He works to keep the clinic stocked and orderly and makes sure that the physical therapists have the treatment equipment they need in the right place at the right time. He also plans and maintains the aide schedule so that all required physical therapy support is in place for optimal patient care.
Matt has recently completed a BS in biology at Sacred Heart University and plans to continue his education there to become a high school science teacher. An eagle scout, Matt still loves to camp and go backpacking. Matthew is the Sacred Heart University Men's and Women's Assistant Fencing Coach and enjoys XBOX 360 in his free time. Matthew was born on Long Island, NY and currently resides in Bridgeport, CT.
Kimberly Victoria, Patient Coordinator
Kimberly works in the front office and is one of the first points of patient contact at Preneta Physical Therapy. As a patient coordinator, Kimberly is responsible for scheduling appointments, collecting patient health insurance data, and completing insurance verification. She works directly with our patients communicating their insurance benefits and keeps track of prescription updates.
Kimberly is also responsible for general office procedures and works diligently to insure that patients are greeted warmly and receive all the information they need throughout their treatment at Preneta PT.
Kimberly lives in Bridgeport with her family and enjoys spending time with her loved ones. Always positive, Kimberly focuses on the simple joys as she works to establish her life.
Lynn Sorrells, Patient Coordinator

Nick Poloukhine, Physical Therapy Aide
Nick works as a Physical Therapy Aide. He recently graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in 2017 with a BS in Exercise Science and Human Performance.
As a physical therapy aide and working closely with the physical therapists, Nick assists with patient flow through the clinic. He works to keep the clinic stocked and orderly and makes sure that the physical therapists have the treatment equipment they need for their patients. He enjoys exercise and the inner workings of the human body. In his role as a physical therapy aide, Nick enjoys meeting patients and being part of their recovery. In his free time, Nick enjoys hanging out with friends, playing music and creating DJ sets.
Shaleighne Preneta, Practice Administrator
Shaleighne (Shay) Preneta graduated from Drexel University with a BS in Marketing and Economics.
Working closely with Richard Preneta, Shay has been Practice Administrator since 2008. In her role with Preneta Physical Therapy, she is responsible for medical credentialing, practice, including Medicare and HIPPA compliance, billing, and all human resource, marketing and accounting functions for the practice.
Shay lives in Milford, CT with her husband, Richard, and their children, Bella and Kevin. She enjoys reading, playing tennis, running and paddle boarding, and walking with her dog.
